THE INEVITABLE SHIFT TOWARDS A QUALITY OF LIFE ECONOMIC MODEL

PLENARY SESSION

With JEREMY RIFKIN, Economic and Social Theorist, Writer, Political Avisor, USA

The Courage to Change in Order to Build a More Human Society

Thanks to technology and the Internet of Things, an increasing number of goods and services, such as music or online education, are free or nearly so. When most things are either free or shareable, social capital will become more important than financial capital. We will have an economy of universal access and inclusion. The dream of success will no longer be striking it rich, but achieving a sustainable Quality of Life. To face this challenge, leaders need the strength to fight resistance as well as the patience to win over doubt.
