It’s time for bed... really
If you are an adult, the days of an enforced “lights out” are likely far behind you. But with all the distractions we have, literally at our fingertips – smartphones, laptops, tablets and even books, we may still be in need of someone to send us to bed.
A Dutch survey of more than 2,000 individuals revealed that 50 percent of participants felt they had an inadequate amount of sleep at least two nights per week. For these individuals, the self-procrastination factor, or the decision to stay awake even when they know it’s time to sleep, accounted for 12.7 percent reasons that individuals lack sleep.
If you’re consistently waking up feeling unrested, perhaps it’s time to reevaluate your pre-bedtime routine.
